General Model Information:
Lexus ES 350
The ES 350 is the latest version of the company's long-running ES series. Like its predecessors, it's roomy, quiet and assembled with care. Yet a used Lexus ES 350 offers a bit more in the way of performance than earlier ES sedans, thanks to its powerful V6 engine. Likewise, its ride and handling dynamics come even closer to the luxury sedan ideal, as the ES 350's ride quality is as forgiving as it is composed. It's still not an engaging car to drive, but we suspect that most prospective ES buyers aren't looking for that anyway.

Lexus GS 350
The GS 350 hasn't changed much since its debut for 2007, making a lower-mileage, well-maintained example a good choice for a car buyer. Because of the power increase on this Lexus model, though, prices on otherwise identical, '06 GS 300s are apt to be a bit lower, making them a solid value for used Lexus buyers unconcerned by straight-line performance.
Lexus IS 350
The IS 350, which debuted for the 2006 model year, is still in its first generation. Though this generation hasn't changed much since its debut, the IS 350 received a few notable updates for 2009, including slightly different grille and taillight treatments, revised suspension tuning and a two-tone interior option.
Previously, Lexus offered the IS 300. Available as a four-door sedan or wagon, a used Lexus IS 300 is known for its outstanding driving dynamics but rather drab cabin. It also wasn't as luxurious, roomy or powerful as the current IS 350, but as an affordable used Lexus luxury sport sedan, it's worth a look. It was sold from 2001-'05.
Lexus LS 460
The present-generation LS 460 debuted in 2007. Changes have been minimal, though all-wheel drive was not available on the 2007 and '08 models.
Previous to this model, th LS430 was sold. The LS was first introduced for 1990 and there have been four generations since then.
Lexus RX 350
Introduced for the 2007 model year and running to 2009, the previous-generation RX 350 luxury SUV was essentially the same as the 2004-'06 RX 330 but with the addition of a slightly larger, considerably more powerful engine and more sound insulation. The 350's 3.5-liter V6 made 270 hp and 251 pound-feet of torque and came paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Again, Lexus shoppers can still choose either front- or all-wheel drive.
